In an era where connectivity and autonomy have become essential not only at home but also in nature, portable power stations are redefining the concept of “freedom.” For readers of the Travel section, we tested one of the most promising solutions in this category: the Pecron E2400LFP Power Station, a state-of-the-art power supply station designed for modern adventurers, RV enthusiasts, and professionals who operate beyond the limits of conventional power outlets.
To remain as objective as possible, we tested both the station and the Pecron PV200 solar panel in real camping conditions.
Rugged Design, Decent Portability
At first glance, the Pecron E2400LFP impresses with its solid construction, clearly designed for rough terrain and intensive use. While it is not the lightest option on the market (approximately 22 kg), the weight is justified by its impressive energy capacity. Side handles facilitate transport, and the casing is remarkably resistant to shocks and moderate weather conditions.

Power Performance: 2400W / 2048Wh – A Miniature Power Plant
With a rated power of 2400W and a capacity of 2048Wh, the Pecron E2400LFP can power multiple devices simultaneously: laptops, portable refrigerators, coffee makers, power tools, or even emergency medical equipment. In a 48-hour field test, the station successfully powered two mini-fridges continuously and charged several phones, headlamps, and two tablets. Moreover, we used a high-power projector (50W) for over five hours and managed to charge the Jeep’s battery, which we had deliberately drained to 60%. At no point did the station drop below 33% charge.
A clarification: the station does not have a jump-start (booster) function. If your car battery is dead, you cannot just clamp the cables and start the engine. You must allow the station to recharge the car battery (it took us about 30 minutes), disconnect the station, and only then start the vehicle.
Efficient Solar Charging with the Pecron PV200 Panel
A key component of our test was the Pecron PV200 (200W) solar panel, a foldable, weather-resistant, and easily transportable accessory. Under favorable weather conditions at midday, we achieved a charging power of over 190W/h—a remarkable performance for a portable panel. On average, the panel charged at about 150–170W/h. The manufacturer claims—and we tend to believe—that two PV200 panels can fully charge the station in approximately 4–5 hours.
The combination of the E2400LFP station and the PV200 panel offers a fully autonomous solution for off-grid power supply, turning any natural spot into a functional space.
